HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-1996-1530 RESOLUTION NO. 1530 Series of 1996 TITLE: A RESOLUTION REQUIRING FINANCIAL REPORTING FROM ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVING CONTRIBUTIONS AND SPECIAL EVENTS FUNDED ALL OR IN PART BY THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE. WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge City Council from time to time is asked to participate financially in special events that occur in the City of Wheat Ridge or to provide contributions to organizations; and WHEREAS, funding provided by the Wheat Ridge City Council for organizations and special events is intended to be a benefit to the community; and WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge City Council has an obligation to assure that funding is used appropriately by organizations and in special events and that the intended public benefit is realized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council that each organization for which more that $1000 in financial assistance is provided by the City of Wheat Ridge shall as a condition of receiving financial assistance from the City of Wheat Ridge, provide an annual financial report detailing the utilization of City funds or general expenditures, and that any special event receiving in excess of $1000 provide the City with a pre and post event financial report detailing the utilization of City funds or general expenditures.
