TITLE:
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE NEIGHBORHOOD
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (NTMP)
WHEREAS, the citizens of Wheat Ridge have expressed over
time a high level of concern with traffic speeds and traffic
volumes, particularly within the community's neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, traditional methods of addressing vehicle speed
and volume within neighborhoods has proven to be ineffective in a
long term resolution of the problems; and
WHEREAS, addressing on a long term basis citizen concerns
regarding vehicle speed and volume within the community's
neighborhoods is a priority to the Wheat Ridge City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Neighborhood
Traffic Management Program (NTMP) is hereby approved and adopted by
the Wheat Ridge City Council with the express intent that this
program be intended to provide a long term solution to concerns
expressed by the citizens of Wheat Ridge regarding traffic speed
and volume within the community's neighborhoods.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 9th day of June, 1997.
