TITLE:
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE PRIORITY OF AND SUPPORT FOR
JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE FUNDING FOR THE RECREATION
CENTER SITE ACQUISITION
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has undertaken a very
thorough public process to discuss the community's needs for
recreation resources; and
WHEREAS, the community has indicated its desire to have
a multi-purpose recreation center constructed in the City of Wheat
Ridge; and
WHEREAS,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Wheat Ridge that the Council expresses its gratitude to the
Open Space Advisory Committee for a unanimous vote of support for
use of County Open Space funds for the Wheat Ridge Recreation
Center site, and that the OSAC conditions on use and acceptance are
understood and accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the acquisition of property
at approximately 40th and Kipling is hereby determined to be a
priority of the Wheat Ridge city Council and explicitly the highest
priority for use of Jefferson county Open Space funds for said
acquisition.
