TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE
TO CONTINUE NEGOTIATIONS AND TO ACQUIRE THE 4,907
SQUARE FEET, MORE OR LESS, OR PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF CLEAR CREEK AT 4495 EVERETT DRIVE (THE
SHIRLEY PROPERTY) AT THE NEGOTIATED FAIR MARKET
PURCHASE PRICE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge has previously
authorized Jefferson County Open Space to secure an appraisal, title commitment, survey,
environmental assessment, and negotiate the fair market value ofthe 4,907 square feet,
more or less, ofland located on the north side of Clear Creek at 4495 Everett Drive, and,
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Open Space staffhas completed the appraisal,
title commitment, survey, environmental assessment, and negotiated the fair market value
all of which has been made known to the City Council, and;
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council ofthe City of Wheat Ridge to
have said purchase completed utilizing funds within the City of Wheat Ridge attributable
share of the Jefferson County Open Space Fund, and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Wheat Ridge to
authorize Jefferson County Open Space to continue negotiations and to acquire the 4,907
square feet, more or less, ofland located on the north side of Clear Creek at 4495 Everett
Dove at the negotiated purchase price for Parks & Recreatlon purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge that Jefferson County Open Space be authorized to continue negotiations
and to acquire the 4,907 square feet, more or less, ofland located on the north side of
Clear Creek at 4495 Everett Drive at the negotiated fair market purchase price.
