TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF THE PUBLIC
RIGHT-OF-WAY BY THE WHEAT RIDGE HISTORICAL
SOCIETY, INC., TO POST SlGN~ EXEMPT FROM
REGULATIONS TO ADVERTISE THE CLEAR CREEK
CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS
\VHEREAS, the Wheat RIdge Histoncal Society, Inc a Colorado 501(c)3 orgalllzatlOn
Illtends to hold the Clear Creek CelebratIOn ofthe Arts, and
WHEREAS, the Clear Creek Celebration of the Arts, being held as a CIty-wide civic
event, may be advertIsed by signs which are exempted from permIt reqUIrements under SectIon
26-407 of the Code of Laws of the CIty of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS, the CIty Council of the City of Wheat Ridge wishes to aid III the promotIOn
of ctty-wtde CIVtC events, and
WHEREAS, the CIty CouncIl of the CIty of Wheat RIdge WIshes to allow the use of the
publIc nght-of-way for the purpose of erectIllg those sIgns announcmg the time and place of the
Clear Creek Celebration of the Arts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, that authority is hereby granted to the Wheat Ridge Historical SOCIety, Inc., to
erect those sIgns exempt under Section 26-407 of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge,
for the purpose of announcing the clear Creek CelebratIOn of the Arts, prOVIded that all
requirements of Article IV of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge otherwise apphcable
to SaId sIgns are complIed WIth and further provided that SaId sIgns are removed from the publIc
nght-of-way at the discretIOn ofthe PublIc Works Department after the Clear Creek CelebratIon
of the Arts has concluded.
