TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING USE OF THE PUBLIC
RIGHT-OF-WAY BY THE WHEAT RIDGE CARNATION
FESTIV AL, INC., TO POST SIGNS EXEMPT FROM
REGULATIONS TO ADVERTISE THE CARNATION
FESTIVAL
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Camation FestIval, Inc. a Colorado not-far-profit
organizatIOn, bemg a CIVIC organizatIon, intends to hold the CarnatIon FestIval, and
WHEREAS, the Carnation Festival, bemg held as a city-wIde CIVIC event, may be
advertIsed by sIgns whIch are exempted frorn permit requirements under SectIOn 26-407 of the
Code of Laws ofthe City of Wheat RIdge; and
WHEREAS, the CIty Councll of the City of Wheat Ridge wIshes to aid m the promotIOn
of cIty-wide civIc events, and
WHEREAS, the CIty Council of the City of Wheat Ridge wIshes to allow the use of the
public nght-of-way for the purpose of erecting those sIgns announcing the time and place of the
Clear Creek Celebration of the Arts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, that authonty is hereby granted to the Wheat Ridge CarnatIon Festival, Inc., to
erect those signs exempt under SectIOn 26-407 of the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge,
for the purpose of announcmg the clear Creek CelebratIOn of the Arts, provided that all
requirements of Article IV of the Code of Laws of the CIty of Wheat Ridge otherwIse applIcable
to said signs are complIed With and further provided that said Stgns are removed from the public
right-of-way no later than August 30, 2000 K. v of (] .
