HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution-2000-0039 CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO RESOLUTION NO 39 Series of 2000 TITLE' A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE TO CONTINUE GOOD FAITH NEGOTIATIONS AND TO ACQUIRE THE 190 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO (COORS GREENBELT PROPERTY) AT THE NEGOTIATED PRICE FOR PARKS AND RECREATION PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has approved a Resolution authorizing Jefferson County Open Space to complete an Appraisal, Environmental Assessment and Survey, and negotiate the fair market value of the 190 acres of property located within the City and known as the Coors Greenbelt property, and WHEREAS, Jefferson County has completed the Appraisal, Environmental Assessment and Survey and negotiated the fair market value; and WHEREAS, the negotiated fair market value is $2,100,000, and WHEREAS, the City's share of the Appraisal, Environmental Assessment, closing and title costs is $2,47500, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that: 1) JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE BE AUTHORIZED TO ACQUIRE THE 190 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED IN THE CITY AND KNOWN AS THE COORS GREENBELT PROPERTY AT THE NEGOTIATED FAIR MARKET VALUE. 2) THE COST OF THE ACQUISITION INCLUDING LAND COST, APPRAISAL, ENVIRONMNET AL ASSESSMENT AND CLOSING COSTS SHALL BE BORNE AS FOLLOWS. a. $1,050,000: Jefferson County Open Space Bond Funds b. $525,000' City of Wheat Ridge share of the Jefferson County Open Space Bond Fund c. $525,000. Requested funds from Great Outdoors Colorado from Clear Creek Legacy Grant funds GED\53027\35787901 d Appraisals, environmental assessment, closing and title costs of $4,950 to be divided evenly between the Jefferson County Open Space Bond Funds and the Wheat Ridge share of Jefferson County Open Space Bond funds 3) THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK ARE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THE ENVIRONMENTAL INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT AND ANY OTHER NECESSARY INSTRUMENTS TO EFFECT THE PURCHASE.
