TITLE:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WHEAT RIDGE REQUESTING THAT THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY PROVIDE
FOR A COMPLETE REVIEW AND UPDATE OF THE
COUNTYWIDE TRANSPORT A TION PLAN
WHEREAS, the original intent ofthe Countywide Transportation Plan when adopted in
1998 was to conduct an annual review to ensure that the plan continued to be relevant, current
and useful to the region; and
WHEREAS, It IS the stated goal ofthe Plan to provide for a coordinated system that
integrates all modes of transportation and to identifY and address deficienctes in the region's
transportation system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge is asking that a complete review and update of the
Countywide Transportation Plan be undertaken by the County to ensure that the Plan's stated
goals are met.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
To request Jefferson County Commissioners to develop a process and provide for
a complete review and update of the Countywide Transportation Plan as was
originally anticipated when adopted ill 1998.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 27th day of November, 2000.
