RESOLUTION NO. 42-2000

TITLE:
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE
JOlNT VENTURE GRANT APPLICATION FOR FUNDS FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A FENCE DEFlNlNG THE GREENBELT BOUNDARY
OF TABOR LAKE.
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has leased, and will purchase real property, from
Coors Co for the Wheat Ridge Clear Creek Greenbelt, and
WHEREAS, the property line is not clear surrounding Tabor Lake, and fencmg would
help define the boundary, and
WHEREAS, the City would like limited pedestrian access to the irrigation ditches and
Tabor lake, and
WHEREAS, there is a need to deter automobile traffic into the Clear Creek Greenbelt.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Wheat Ridge City Council supports
the grant application for a Jefferson County Open Space Joint Venture Grant for a fence
surroundmg approximately 75% of the Tabor Lake boundary
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Wheat Ridge City Council encourages Jefferson
County Open Space to fund this project.
