TITLE.
A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE
YEAR OF 2000, TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF GOVERNMENT FOR
THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO FOR THE 2001 BUDGET
YEAR.
WHEREAS, the CIty CounCIl of the City of Wheat Ridge WIll adopt the annual
budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law, and;
WHEREAS, the Local Government Budget Law requires certification ofthe
annual property tax mill levy pnor to December 15,2000, and,
WHEREAS, the amount of money needed to balance the budget for general
operatmg expenses from property tax sources IS $643,939
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE'
A. That for the purpose of meeting all general operating expenses of the CIty of
Wheat RIdge dUrIng the 2001 budget year, there IS hereby leVIed a tax of2 084
mills placed upon each dollar of the total valuatIOn of all taxable property wlthm
the CIty of Wheat Ridge for the year of 2000.
B That the Mayor of the City of Wheat RIdge IS hereby authOrIzed and directed
to immediately certify to the County CommISSIoners of Jefferson County,
Colorado the mIll levy for the City of Wheat Ridge as herein above determined
and set.
DONE AND RESOLVED THE 11 th DAY OF DECEMBER, 2000
