TITLE A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT WITH
GOCO (GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
WHEAT RIDGE RECREATION CENTER SOCCER FIELD
WHEREAS, Great Outdoor Colorado (GOCO) awarded the City of Wheat RIdge a grant
in the amount of $48,000 for the purpose of constructing a soccer field at the Wheat RIdge
RecreatHm Center; and
WHEREAS, Wheat Ridge accepted the grant in September 1999; and
WHEREAS, the executed grant agreement provides for completion by February 2000 and
was extended until October 31, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat RIdge needed an irrigation drainage pond m order for the
Socccr Field to drain properly, which was not anticipated at the time of developing the timelmc;
and
WHEREAS, the rrrigation pond was installed by October 31, 2000 but the weather dId
not permlt completlon of the planting of the sod.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1 The CIty of Wheat Ridge requests that GOCO agree to an extenSIon of the Wheat
Ridge Soccer Field contract (Contract # 9549) until June 1, 2001 to submIt the fmal report and
closmg documentation.
2. The City of Wheat Ridge 2001 Budget be amended accordingly
