TITLE:
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING EXCESS SALES TAX
REVENUE FROM THE URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY
AND EARMARKING SAID FUNDS FOR THE 38rH
AVENUE STREETSCAPE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Wheat RIdge Urban Renewal Authonty possesses excess sales tax
collectIOns whIch, under SectIon 31-25-1 07(9)(a)(II) of the Urban Renewal Law, lfnot allocated
for Authonty debts or financIal obligatIOns, shall be paId Into the funds of the CIty; and
WHEREAS, the CIty of Wheat Ridge deSIres to accept such excess collectIOns and
earmark the funds for the 38th Avenue Streetscape project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
SectIOn I The CIty of Wheat RIdge hereby accepts the excess sales tax collectIOns In the
amount of $280,000 00 and earmarks SaId funds for the acqUIsItIon and assocIated costs in
connection WIth the property located at 5300 W 38th Avenue, as part of the 38th Avenue
Streetscape proJect.
SectIOn 2 The City Manager IS authonzed and dIrected to fund any additional InCIdental
costs assOCIated With the acqUlSltlOn of SaId property III an amount not to exceed $6,000 00
