RESOLUTION NO 06-2002

TITLE
A RESOLUTION ABOLISHING THE RICHARDS-HART ESTATE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 9,2 of the City of Wheat Ridge Home Rule
Charter, the Wheat Ridge City Council ("City Council") is authorized to create advisory
boards and commissions by resolution, and
WHEREAS, the power to create advisory boards and commissions includes the
power to abolish such boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Richards-Hart Estate
Advisory Committee is no longer needed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that the Richards-Hart
Estate Advisory Committee is an "advisory board" within the meaning of Section 9 2 of
the Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department will continue to provide
maintenance and supervision of operations for the Richards-Hart Estate, and
WHEREAS, the members of the Richards-Hart Estate Advisory Committee have
asked that the committee be abolished
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1, The Richards-Hart Estate Advisory Committee is hereby abolished
Section 2. Effective Date, This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption
