RESOLUTION NO. 16-2002

TITLE: A RESOLUTION REPEALING CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE RESOLUTION
NO. 02, SERIES OF 1999.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 02-1999, the Wheat Ridge City Council ("City
Council") designated the Arts Council of Wheat Ridge, Inc. ("Arts Council") as the
official arts organization for the City of Wheat Ridge ("City"), and
WHEREAS, by said resolution, the City Council authorized the execution of a
cooperative agreement with the Arts Council to define the role of the Arts Council
as the City's official arts organization; and
WHEREAS, such a cooperative agreement between the City and the Arts
Council was never executed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a public arts program would
be best administered by a City-created board or commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to remove the previous designation of
the Arts Council as the official arts organization of the City to facilitate the creation
of a City board or commission to serve such purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1. City of Wheat Ridge Resolution No. 02, Series of 1999, is
hereby repealed.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
