TITLE:
RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE
JEFFERSON COUNTY TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY
AND ADVOCACY GROUP
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Countywide Transportation Plan (CWTP) is a
planning tool that reflects transportation needs within Jefferson County; and;
WHEREAS, the plan has received widespread public input and discussion in
identifying and prioritizing project needs; and
WHEREAS, the plan recognizes the high pnority that needs to be placed on
improving north/south travel corridors throughout the county; and
WHEREAS, the plan offers a realistic, fiscally constrained approach to
addressing transportation needs; and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County and the cities within Jefferson County agree that it
is important to have a workable forum to discuss and develop recommendations for
funding transportation projects throughout Jefferson County; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Wheat Ridge
hereby appoints Mayor Gretchen Cerveny as the voting member representing the
City of Wheat Ridge on the Jefferson County Transportation Advisory and
Advocacy Group and that Tim Paranto, Director of Public Works, will also serve as
a member of the Advisory and Advocacy Group.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 28th day of October, 2003.
