TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2004
BUDGET TO REFLECT ACCEPTANCE OF THE
SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL FACILITIES GRANT FOR
THE PURPOSE OF AN ART MURAL AT THE WHEAT
RIDGE RECREATION CENTER
WHEREAS, the CIty of Wheat Ridge applied for and was awarded a grant to
commissIOn a piece of art in the form of a mural to be placed III the Wheat RIdge
RecreatIon Center; and
WHEREAS, the CIty Council desIres to accept the funds III the amount of
$7,800.; and
WHEREAS, the CIty Council desIres to enhance the publIc spaces and provide
for a more aesthetIc and humane environment in the City by acqumng works of art which
shall become the City's publIc art collectIon,
WHEREAS, the Wheat RIdge Charter requires that amendments to the budget be
effected by the CIty Council adopting a ResolutIOn;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The CIty hereby accepts the funds.
B. The CIty Manager IS authorized to execute all documents necessary for the
acceptance of the funds.
C Upon receipt of the funds, that the funds be placed III the General Fund.
D. The CIty of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2004 Budget be amended
accordlllgly, specifically addlllg $7,800 into the Parks and RecreatIon
AdmllllstratIve budget Professional Services account (01-601-700-750)
E. The funds be encumbered for the length ofthe proJect.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 26th day of ril2004.
