TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2005
BUDGET TO REFLECT THE ACCEPTANCE OF FUNDS
FROM THE WHEAT RIDGE ARTS COUNCIL IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,209.60 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
LIGHTING THE BRONZE STATUE LOCATED ATTHE
WHEAT RIDGE RECREATION CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has a bronze statue entitle "She AIll't
Heavy" located at the Wheat Ridge RecreatIOn Center; and
WHEREAS, the City CounCil deSires to accept donated funds from the Wheat
Ridge Arts Council in the amount of $2,209.60 for the purpose of lightIllg the bronze
statue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports public art; and
WHEREAS, the Wheat Ridge Charter requires that amendments to the budget be
effected by the City Council adopting a Resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City hereby accepts donated funds from the Wheat Ridge Arts
CouncIl.
B The City Manager IS authonzed to execute all documents necessary for the
acceptance of the funds.
C Upon receipt of the funds, that the funds be placed in the General Fund.
D The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2005 Budget be amended
accordingly, speCifically adding $2,209 60 Illto the Parks and Recreation
Department budget account (01-603-700-774)
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS DAY JUNE 27, 2005.
