RESOLUTION NO 02-2006

TITLE.
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE
LOCATION AND THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL
CIRCULATION FOR THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes require municipalities to designate official
public notice and publication locations for legal notices, and
WHEREAS, such locations must be approved by the governing body of the
municipality annually; and
WHEREAS, the City is required by Charter, ordinance and state law to publish certain
notices in newspapers of general circulation
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that:
Section 1. Public notice of meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board
of Adjustment, and all other board, commission, committee, and advisory board meetings for
which public notice is required shall be posted on the first floor bulletin board at the Municipal
Building, 7500 W 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the
official posting location for the City Notices of special meetings of the Council and
publication of ordinances of the Council may be published in the manner provided by
Sections 5.2(a) and 5 12(h) of the Charter which allow' publication of ordinances and notices
of special meetings, including but not limited to (1) publication in a newspaper of general
circulation, (2) posting on the City of Wheat Ridge website, (3) posting on the Internet; or (4)
posting at locations designated by resolution of City Council
Section 2. Notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of
general circulation within the City shall be made in the Wheat Ridge Transcript; except that,
where the City Clerk determines that the submission schedule, publication deadline, or the
circumstance makes publication in the Wheat Ridge Sentinel ineffective or otherwise
undesirable, the City may publish official notice in another newspaper circulated within the
City such as, but not limited to, the Denver Post or Rocky Mountain News.
Section 3. This resolution shall be effective upon adoption
