TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2006 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT
THE APPROVAL OF A SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$95,003.26 FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
RADIO UPGRADE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City received a grant in the amount of $1.5 million to upgrade
the Police Department's radio system; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved an additional $157,000 to complete the
upgrade to the Police Department's radio system; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department radio system upgrade project was not
completed in 2005 and the funds for the project were inadvertently released into the
General Fund unreserved fund balance;
WHEREAS, to contmue this project in 2006 a supplemental budget appropnatlOn
IS necessary to transter the funds from unreserved fund balance to specific budget lme
Items in the 2006 General Fund Budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2006 Budget be amended
accordmgly, specifically transferring a total of $95,003.26 from the
General Fund unreserved fund balance to the followmg 2006 Budget lme
