TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2007
PUBLIC WORKS OPERATIONS BUDGET TO REFLECT
THE APPROVAL OF A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
APPROPRIATION OF $35,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
REPLACEMENT POLICE SEDAN, ALONG WITH
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR POLICE
SEDANS, ONE POLICE SUV AND TWO SPECIAL
INVESTIGATIONS VEHICLES IN AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-
EXCEED $263,000.00
WHEREAS, a police sedan was involved in an accident and was damaged
beyond repair, requiring the unscheduled replacement of the vehicle;
WHEREAS, four new police patrol sedans, one police SUV and two special
investigations vehicles were authorized in the 2007 Budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2007 Public Works Operations
Budget be amended accordingly, specifically adjusting the Fleet
Replacement line item, account # 01-303-800-807, from $233,000 to $
268,000.
B. Approve purchase of five new model year 2007 Ford Crown Victoria,
police option marked sedans from Sill- Terhar Ford Inc., Broomfield,
Colorado in the amount of their quotation of$23,262 per unit.
C. Approve purchase of one new model year 2007 Ford Expedition, police
option marked SUV from Lakewood Ford Inc., Lakewood, Colorado in
the amount of their quotation of $23,136 per unit.
D. Approve purchase of one new model year 2007 full-size Ford F-150 4X4
pickup from Heritage Ford Lincoln Mercury, Loveland, Colorado in the
amount of their quotation of $15,161 per unit.
E. Approve purchase of one new model year 2007 full-size dodge Magnum
SXT station wagon from Carlin Dodge, Inc., Windsor, Colorado in the
amount of their quotation of $17,598 per unit.
F. Authorize $98,521.00 for all costs of required equipment and installations
associated with these purchases be paid from account number 01-303 -800-
807, and that these funds be encumbered in accordance with Ordinance
#787, 1989 Series.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 22nd day of January 2007.
