TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING un; FISCAL YEAR
2007 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT
Hili APPROVAL OF A SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET APPROPRIATION FOR FUNDING FOR
THE WHEAT RIDGE ARTS FESTIVAL IN THE
AMOUNT OF $7,500.00.
WHEREAS, Wheat Ridge 2020, the Wheat Ridge Business District, Wheat
Ridge Arts Council and the Colorado Folk Arts Council are sponsoring the Wheat Ridge
Taste of the Arts Festival on September IS, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the closure of3Sth Avenue between
Pierce and Wadsworth Boulevard to accommodate the Festival; and
WHEREAS, the sponsors are also requesting that the City provide financial
assistance to the Festival in an amount not to exceed $7,500.00 by donating Police
Department personnel for security and having the Public Works Department sweep the
streets before and after the Festival; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to provide this assistance, having determined
that it serves a valid public purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2007 Budget is amended accordingly to
provide a supplemental appropriation from the general fund in the amount of
$7,500.00 for Police Department security and traffic control and Public Works
street sweeping for the Wheat Ridge Arts Festival.
DONE AND RESOLVED THIS 27th da of August, 2007.
