TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR
2008 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO REFLECT
THE APPROVAL OF A SUPPLEMENTAL
BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$16,000 FOR THE PURPOSES OF ASSISTING HtE
SENIOR RESOURCE CENTER IN FUNDING THE
SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Senior Resource Center (SRC) provides assistance to senior
citizens in Wheat Ridge through several programs, including a transportation program;
and
WHEREAS, the SRC Transportation Program provided approximately 3,800
rides to 104 Wheat Ridge seniors in 2006; and
WHEREAS, federal funds finance approximately 80 percent ofthe budget of the
SRC Transportation Program; and
WHEREAS, City Council is desirous of contributing to the SRC's
funding shortfall of approximately $16,000 to provide transportation services to
Wheat Ridge residents.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Wheat Ridge, Colorado, as follows:
A. The City of Wheat Ridge fiscal year 2008 General Fund Budget be
amended accordingly, specifically transferring a total of $16,000 from
General Fund unreserved fund balance into account #01-102-700-780.
