TITLE: CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 19 SERIES OF 2009 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF THE APPLICATION FOR A 2009 GRANT TO THE STATE BOARD OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS
COLORADO FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 38TH AND KIPLING PARK WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge supports the Great Outdoors Colorado grant application for the 38th and Kipling Park project
and; WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge has requested $200,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado to construct the park and; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WHEAT RIDGE THAT: The City of Wheat Ridge supports the grant application and has appropriated matching funds for a grant with the Great Outdoors Colorado. The City of Wheat Ridge hereby
authorizes the expenditure of fuuds as necessary to meet the terms and obligations of any Grant awarded. The project site is owned by the City of Wheat Ridge and will be owned by the
City of Wheat Ridge for the next 25 years. The City of Wheat Ridge will continue to maintain the park at at 38th and Kipling in a high quality condition and will appropriate funds for
maintenance in its annual budget. The City of Wheat Ridge has the ability to complete this project and has demonstrated this ability in "A Playground for Stevens Elementary" in 2006
and "Manwaring Field/Creekside Park" in 2000. The City of Wheat Ridge hereby authorizes the Mayor to sign the grant contracts with Great Outdoors Colorado. This resolution to be in full
