TITLE: CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE, COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 20 Series of 2009 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2009 GENERAL FUND AND CAPITAL INVESTMENT PROGRAM BUDGETS TO REFLECT THE APPROVAL
OF A SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $200,000 FOR THE PURPOSES OF PURCHASING AND DEMOLISHING THE 3453 SIMMS STREET PROPERTY AND DEMOLISHING THE 3388 SWADLEY STREET
PROPERTY AND APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE URBAN DRAINAGE AND FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT FOR A $200,000 REIMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY WHEREAS, the recent drainageway study
of Lena Gulch identified a channelization project that would remove thirteen homes from the floodplain; and WHEREAS, the proposed stream improvement project requires removal of two homes;
and WHEREAS, one of the homes required to be removed for the project is currently for sale; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to purchase 3453 Simms Street for the future drainageway
proj ect; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to demolish 3453 Simms Street and 3388 Swadley Street for the future drainage project; and WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
District will reimburse the City 50% of the costs of acquiring 3453 Simms Street and the demolition of 3453 Simms Street and 3388 Swadley Street; and WHEREAS, the 2009 Capital Investment
Program budget does not include funding for the purchase and demolition of 3453 Simms Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Wheat Ridge City Council, that: Section I. A. An Intergovernmental Agreement with the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District· for reimbursement
of $200,000 of the purchase price of 3453 Simms Street and costs of demolition of3453 Simms Street and 3388 Swadley Street is approved. B. The following amendments to the 2009 Capital
Investment Program budget are hereby approved: I. Transfer $200,000 from General Fund undesignated reserves to the Capital Investment Program Fund account number 30-302-800-833. DONE
